From an open question to reviewed work
A Dossier keeps a question, its evidence and the decisions needed before implementation in one document. Linked tasks record the resulting work.
Develop the document directly or with its dedicated orchestrator session. Record decisions in context, create implementation cards and retain the delivery history in the implementation log.
Keep the question and decision together
Open a Dossier while evidence or direction is still unclear. Decision gates name the remaining choices. A recorded answer can supply context for a bounded implementation card; recording the answer alone does not create or start that card.
1. Write the question
Describe the problem, relevant evidence and possible directions. Write the document yourself or ask the Dossier’s orchestrator session to investigate and structure it.

2. Record a decision
Select an option and add context if needed. The answer remains beside the argument it resolves, so later implementation can refer to the actual decision.

3. Create the implementation card
Use Start task to prepare a card with the agreed option and Dossier reference. Inspect the proposed prompt and agent settings before confirming. Request rework instead continues analysis in the Dossier’s own session.

4. Record the delivery
Append the delivered outcome and evidence references to the implementation log. Preserve the original question and decision so the reason for the work remains inspectable.

Find the record again
Search by key, title or summary to open the Dossier directly, even after its implementation cards have moved through the board.

Choose the action for the next step
Keep analysis in the Dossier until the implementation scope is clear. Start task creates implementation work after confirmation; Request rework asks the Dossier session to revise its analysis. Neither action means the resulting software has been accepted.
